Privacy Policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
We collect only what we need to print your frame and play your video: your account details, delivery address, photos and videos. We never sell it. Anyone who has your frame's QR code can watch its video, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who we are
Living Frame is run by [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME] (“we”, “us”), [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. We make printed photo frames with a short video that plays in your phone's browser when someone scans the QR code on the frame. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, so we cannot read it.
- Delivery address: the address you give at checkout, which we can save to your account for next time.
- Your photos and videos: the files you upload for each frame, plus your choices about crop, size and video position.
- Order and payment records: your order code, the items ordered, the amount, the payment status, and the payment ID and time from Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered in Razorpay's payment window and are never stored by us.
- On your device: your cart is saved in your browser so it survives a refresh, and a login token keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Clearing your browser data removes both.
- Camera: when you scan a frame, the site asks permission to use your camera. The camera image is used on your phone to recognise the photo and is not uploaded to us.
Why we use it
- To take, print, ship and support your order.
- To make your video play when your frame is scanned.
- To run your account and show your past orders and receipts.
- To process payments, prevent fraud, and keep records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.
- To contact you about your order. If you give us your contact details we do not use them for marketing unless you agree.
We rely on your consent, which you give when you accept this policy at checkout, and on what we need to fulfil your order and meet legal duties.
Who can see your video
Each order has a random code that is built into the QR on your frame. Once your order is ready, anyone who has that code, which means anyone who can scan or copy the QR, can watch the videos in it. Please do not upload a video you would not want the people who see your frame to watch. Treat the QR code like a link.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that help us run Living Frame:
- Razorpay processes your payment under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts our website and stores your orders, photos and videos.
- Our courier partner receives your name, phone number and delivery address to deliver your frame. [NAME YOUR COURIER, OR DELETE THIS SENTENCE]
- Script and font providers (jsDelivr and Google Fonts) load code and fonts on our pages and may see your IP address when they do.
We may also disclose data if the law or a court order requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, order records, photos and videos for as long as your frame is active, so that the QR keeps working, or until you ask us to delete them. We may delete files from orders that were uploaded but never paid for. We keep invoices and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you ask for deletion.
If we delete your video, the QR on a frame you already own will stop playing it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. You can update your name, phone and address in your account. For anything else, email [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will reply within 7 days and act on valid requests within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with how we handle your request.
Security
Your files are kept in private storage that only our server can open, passwords are hashed, and payments are handled by Razorpay. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
You must be 18 or older to create an account and order. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must place the order for you. If you upload photos of children, please make sure you are their parent or guardian or have the parent's permission.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email or on the site.
